ImpactAlpha’s mini-documentary “Equity and Ownership: Napoleon Wallace and the Reconstruction of Black Wealth” has been named an official selection at several upcoming film festivals.
The 20-minute film charts Wallace’s quest to build a strategy for shared prosperity while living with the challenges of ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease. It won a “best documentary” award at the Boston International Film Festival in April 2025. (You can watch the video here.)
- The fall festival circuit begins at the 6th Annual Indianapolis Black Documentary Film Festival. The film will be screened Saturday, August 16 at 11a (Day 2, Block 1) at the Indy Art Center, 820 E. 67th Street. Tickets available for purchase here.

- Then, we’re headed to South Carolina for the Freedom Festival International at the Ambrosia Taverna event space, 1734 Main Street, Columbia SC. The film will be screened Sunday, August 24 at 12:30p. Tickets are on sale now.
- In Detroit, the Better Cities Film Festival runs Thursday, Sept. 18 – Sunday, Sept. 21 at Campus Martius Park, 800 Woodward Avenue, Detroit MI. Pull up a chair, or bring your own chair or blanket, and watch the films in this beautiful civic space surrounded by great places to grab a bite to eat or enjoy a beverage.
