About this Role
Apollo Agriculture is seeking an experienced Chief of Staff to join our leadership team in Nairobi. This pivotal role involves managing high-stakes projects, grant-funded opportunities, and ensuring the seamless execution of cross-functional strategies. Reporting directly to Apollo’s Chief Product Officer and CEO, the successful candidate will lead initiatives that shape Apollo’s strategic direction, collaborating with diverse teams to deliver impactful results. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of strategic acumen, operational excellence, and a passion for Apollo’s mission. Responsibilities
- Build and execute Apollo’s novel grants strategy.
- Identify opportunities, win funding and partnerships, and deliver transformative outcomes.
- Ensure decisions made in key meetings result in tangible outcomes.
- Take on special projects in collaboration with the CEO and CPO.
- Adapt responsibilities as Apollo evolves and grows.
Requirements
- Work fast, think deeply, and take mission-focused ownership.
- Exceptional communication and writing skills.
- Strategic and analytical thinking; familiarity with SQL.
- Ability to hold leaders accountable and push back when necessary.
- Experience in consulting, high-growth tech, or similar roles.
- Background in grants, philanthropy, or impact capital is a plus.
