Berkeley, CA and Austin, TX – June 2, 2025 – ImpactAlpha the media leader in impact investing and sustainable finance, is adding must-have investment data and tools to its must-read editorial products.
Leading this expansion is Dennis Price, ImpactAlpha’s chief impact officer, who is stepping up to the role of chief executive officer to build out ImpactAlpha’s offerings for Agents of Impact seeking “alpha” in impact.
Founder and editor-in-chief David Bank will continue to lead ImpactAlpha’s award-winning editorial team, which has made the five-day-a-week morning Brief a daily habit for thousands of investors, entrepreneurs and other financial professionals. The publication is harvesting its coverage of trillions in transactions and thousands of investors for actionable insights and smarter decision-making.
“Agents of Impact are stepping up at a moment of incredible volatility and change,” said Bank, a former reporter at The Wall Street Journal, who launched ImpactAlpha in 2014. “We’re stepping up, too. Our subscribers want to take action and connect with others who are leveraging finance for positive impact.”
“Dennis has impact in his bones,” Bank said. “I couldn’t be more excited to help him take ImpactAlpha to the next level.”
Price already has been rolling out new products, including ImpactAlpha’s new weekly newsletter, “LP/GP,” that takes readers inside “the real business of impact investing.” Specialized datasets like “The Liist,” “Ownership Economy,” and “Climate + Gender” provide up-to-date pointers to active managers and strategies and pipelines of activity in cutting-edge areas of finance.
“ImpactAlpha has consistently been ahead of the curve in identifying the trends shaping impact investing,” said Jim Sorenson, chairman of the Sorenson Impact Foundation, an investor in ImpactAlpha’s 2023 seed financing. “With bold editorial leadership and sharp business execution, ImpactAlpha is poised to play an even greater role in driving the field forward.”
Price, a veteran of Media Development Investment Fund and the Global Impact Investing Network, and co-founder of 118 Capital, has been a key architect in ImpactAlpha’s growth for nearly a decade. Price led last year’s launch of ImpactAlpha Latin America, the platform’s first geography-specific extension, and has delivered growing recurring revenues in ImpactAlpha’s core subscription business.
Nearly every leading financial institution, dozens of universities and thousands of investment professionals subscribe to ImpactAlpha’s individual and enterprise plans.
“ImpactAlpha’s team works harder than anybody in the business to deliver accurate and essential information that creates business value for our professional audience,” Price said. “I’m committed to scaling our reach, deepening our impact, and building an indispensable platform for architects of the inclusive and sustainable industries of the future.”
To build out ImpactAlpha’s product roadmap of high-value, AI-enabled data and tools, Price is working closely with co-founder and chief operating officer Zuleyma Bebell and principal product manager Joe Whitwell, who joins ImpactAlpha from BBC News Labs. Editorial director Amy Cortese and global editor Jessica Pothering are helping Bank extend ImpactAlpha’s journalism and editorial leadership into new geographies, beats and distribution channels, including documentaries, podcasts and video games.
“Dennis and the team are executing on a smart strategy: building a market-leading intelligence platform on top of ImpactAlpha’s strong editorial products,” said ImpactAlpha board member Aaron Samuels, general partner at Collide Capital and co-founder of Blavity and AfroTech.
“The industry needs bold, clear-eyed journalism now more than ever,” said Roy Swan, the director of mission investments at Ford Foundation, the lead investor in ImpactAlpha’s seed round. “ImpactAlpha is uniquely positioned to shape the future of impact investing by pushing the conversation forward, questioning assumptions, and spotlighting the practitioners leading the rotation of the global economy toward real change.”
A Peace Corps alumnus, and graduate of Boston College and the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, Price lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife and four children. For interviews with Price or Bank, please reach out to [email protected].
