About CFE Fund

The CFE Fund, also known as the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting financial empowerment initiatives across the United States. Established with the goal of helping local governments implement strategies to improve financial stability among residents, the CFE Fund works collaboratively with cities and counties to create and sustain Financial Empowerment Centers (FECs). These centers provide free, professional, one-on-one financial counseling as a public service to address financial challenges and aid residents in planning for the future. The CFE Fund is recognized for its commitment to expanding innovative financial empowerment programs and maintains partnerships that enhance its ability to address financial challenges systematically.

About this Role

The CFE Fund is seeking a dedicated Senior Associate to join our Financial Empowerment Center team. The successful candidate will support the implementation and management of high-quality FEC programs in collaboration with a growing network of local partners. As part of a national effort, the Senior Associate will help to enhance operational systems and serve as a key liaison between the FEC Program and Data Systems teams. This role requires development of tools, training, and technical assistance for FEC grantees utilizing the FEC Salesforce database, known as ‘FECBOT’. The position also encompasses administrative responsibilities that support program implementation and growth, providing technical assistance to grantees, and ensuring alignment with program goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support grantees in using Salesforce reports and dashboards to monitor performance and improve service delivery.
  • Design and lead structured support opportunities for grantees — such as live trainings, mock counseling sessions, and learning community calls — to elevate best practices in effective FEC database usage.
  • Develop practical training resources (videos, written guides, practice activities, online materials) to address common database usage challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with the CFE Fund Data Systems team.
  • Oversee and continuously improve training systems, standards, and processes for FEC grantees.
  • Collaborate with the Data Systems team to improve program operations through system enhancements.
  • Contribute to strategic discussions on program and grantee performance, sustainability, and model enhancements.
  • Coordinate logistics for training, learning community events, and in-person convenings.
  • Provide technical assistance to FEC grantees, including facilitating regular strategic planning and program development calls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, nonprofit management, human services, social work, or related field, or at least six years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience delivering training and/or technical assistance to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting program implementation across multiple sites or partners.
  • Familiarity with financial empowerment programs and CRM/database systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Ability to translate technical tools and data into practical guidance for program staff.
  • Experience training adult learners and developing training materials or learning resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Benefits

  • Medical and dental insurance
  • 6 weeks of paid time off plus holidays
  • Paid parental leave
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Competitive 401(k) plan with a generous employer match of 6%
