About this Role

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our dynamic, international team based in Lomé, Togo. The Project Manager will manage a diverse portfolio of projects within the climate science and policy space. You will play a crucial role in the entire lifecycle of various projects, from development and design to closure. Your efforts will contribute significantly to our endeavors in climate change mitigation, engaging with funding entities, contributing to research efforts, and supporting budget creation. Working closely with stakeholders, you will ensure projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards, aiming for successful completion and potential follow-on opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Support project development with bid submissions, proposal development, and budget planning.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet contract specifications.
  • Manage contracts with funders and stakeholders to ensure project completion and follow-on development.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings with partners, stakeholders, and ensure documentation dissemination.
  • Monitor progress and initiate corrective actions as needed for resource and timeline adherence.
  • Provide routine oversight, analysis of project performance, and financial reports in collaboration with the finance officer.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and external audit standards.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields with four years of experience.
  • Proven experience in project planning, implementation, deliverable tracking, and budget management.
  • Proficiency with project management and reporting tools and excellent English writing and verbal skills.
  • Experience in relationship management with internal and external partners.
