Affordable housing. Massachusetts-based Arctaris Impact Investors invested $4.1 million as part of a joint initiative with the Lima municipal government, and the Lima/Allen County Chamber Foundation to provide affordable housing for healthcare workers connected to the nearby Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Agriculture. New Hampshire-based Conservation Resources made its first investment from its second farmland fund, acquiring a 155-acre kiwi and citrus farm in California.

Circularity. London-based banking group HSBC provided a green loan facility to Singapore-based Circulate Capital to invest in recycling and sustainable packaging and materials businesses in South and Southeast Asia.

Climate. New York and Côte d’Ivoire-based Barka Capital alongside CDC-CI Capital, the venture capital and small business investment arm of Côte d’Ivoire’s public finance agency, invested $200,000 in Abidjan-based organic skin and haircare company Laboratoires Adeba… Climate focused non-profit Elemental Impact partnered with Amazon, Google, Meta, and Microsoft to launch a data center initiative with philanthropic backing that could reach $50 million from Breakthrough Energy Discovery, Builders Vision Philanthropy, Salesforce and the Stolte Family Foundation… New York-based Texture landed $12.5 million in a Series A equity round led by VoLo Earth and Equal Ventures, to build an energy operating system for electric utilities, hardware equipment manufacturers and grid service providers.

Disaster resilience. Convective Capital raised $85 million for its second fund from the Arbor Day Foundation, StepStone Group, WovenEarth Ventures, insurance companies and pension funds to invest in wildfire prevention and disaster resilience companies.

Emerging markets. LeapFrog Investments invested in Pharmacity, a retail pharmacy chain with more than 1,100 stores in Vietnam…. France-based Finergreen, an energy transition-focused investment bank, divested its African businesses to focus on Europe and Asia, where it says its largest hubs and operating capabilities are… Acumen America invested in ThriveLink, a St. Louis, Mo.-based developer of an AI-powered voice recognition tool that helps people with low levels of literacy apply for healthcare and essential social services.

Institutional finance. The New Mexico State Investment Council reupped its commitment to UP Partners’ Abundance Fund to back deeptech startups expanding into New Mexico.

Renewable energy. Sweden-based CorPower Ocean closed a €53 million ($61.7 million) Series B round after a top up from the European Innovation Council’s EIC Fund and €3 million from London-based Algebris InvestmentsFinDev Canada committed $15 million to Exagon Impact Capital’s Latin America Fund to support renewable energy projects in Latin America and the Caribbean… Germany and US-based Focused Energy landed $240 million in Series A financing from the Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovation, Prime Movers Lab and others to scale fusion energy… The European Investment Fund committed €200 million ($232.6 million) to Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners for its second bioenergy fund, which invests in European biogas projects.

SME finance. JPMorganChase deployed $39 million in grants and debt via its American Dream Initiative to more than two dozen small business lenders including Craft3 and Avante Capital PartnersAHL Venture Partners raised $30.5 million for its maiden private credit fund from its parent foundation and three other family offices.
