About this Role
Moringaway is seeking a dynamic Investment Analyst to join their team in Quatre Bornes. This hands-on role involves assessing, analyzing, and managing corporate lending opportunities within the African impact finance sector as per the company’s investment policies and impact objectives. Candidates will engage in the full lifecycle of the loan process—from origination to execution and ongoing management. Regular travel is required across various African countries for on-site assessments and stakeholder meetings. The position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work environment with potential days working from home.
Responsibilities
- Analyze prospective corporate loan opportunities within the impact finance sector.
- Review financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and debt servicing capacity.
- Prepare detailed client assessment reports and financial models.
- Conduct compliance and Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews.
- Conduct sector and market research across relevant African markets.
- Liaise with clients and engage in financial, operational, legal, and ESG due diligence processes.
- Monitor existing loan portfolio performance and assist with portfolio reporting.
- Attend to periodic compliance and KYC reviews of existing clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Fluent English with strong team collaboration skills.
- 3–7 years of experience in corporate lending, investment analysis, or impact investing.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Experience in financial modelling and credit analysis.
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally, primarily within Africa.
